About Tomi Rovira

Tomi Rovira Photography was not understood as art until a few decades ago. For me it has not been like that.
At the age of seven I had my first camera and soon after at an aunts house I discovered how a black and white roller was revealed.

Little by little I was buying, changing or selling different models of cameras until I got the first SLR camera. Objectives, accessories, black and white laboratory, color developing courses, studio photography with models and of course reading many books and magazines (there was no internet).

And suddenly, the first models of digital cameras came out. In the early years I was an incombustible detractor of this new system, I swore and perjured that pixels would never be of sufficient quality to make the spark in chemical photography (never analog, please).

These ideas and concepts I had to end up eating honey with potatoes. Now the advantages of digital photography are very clear, among them a very important one, learning is much faster, because you see the results at the same time as taking the photo.

People, animals, things, for any reason it is possible to take a good image, just look when you have it in front of you, create in your head what is the result you want and then take out the camera and make the necessary adjustments to be able to reflect in points of light that image you have in your brain.

This art is so subtle that you can get to photograph things as ethereal as the wind.
